How we look after your information.

Who we are

AVENHYX is run as a partnership by Hashim Taj and Attiya Arif. We are the people responsible for your personal information (the law calls us the "controller").

What we collect

When you email us or use the contact form, you may give us:

• your name and your business name
• your phone number and email address
• what you are interested in
• the best time to call you
• anything you write in your message

Our website hosting provider also keeps basic technical records to run and protect the website, such as your IP address and which pages were requested.

The contact form uses a spam check that looks at basic browser information to tell people from bots.

Why we use it

We use your information to:

• reply to your enquiry and arrange a call (you asked us to, and it is a normal part of running our business)
• provide a service, if you become a client (so we can carry out our agreement with you)
• keep the website secure and working (it is in our interest, and yours, that it stays safe)
• meet legal and tax duties (because the law requires it)

We only send marketing if you have agreed to it or the law allows it.

Who sees it

We use a small number of trusted providers for our business email and for hosting and protecting the website.

We never sell your details.

Some of these providers may handle information outside the UK. We use providers that say they protect it in line with UK data protection law.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not go ahead: up to 12 months.
• Client and accounting records: as long as the law requires.

After that we delete it, or remove anything that identifies you.

Cookies

This website does not currently use cookies or tracking. We do not use advertising or analytics tools on it.

Your rights

You can ask us to:

• show you the information we hold about you
• correct anything that is wrong
• delete your information
• stop using your information, or to use it less, in some situations (you can "object")

To ask, just email hashim@avenhyx.com. We will reply as soon as we can. We may need to check it is really you before we share anything.

You can also complain, as explained in the next section.

Complaints

We would like the chance to put things right first, so please email us. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

Changes to this page

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page.
